Deploying Airbags
Q. Do you have to be certified to deploy the airbags?
A.
No, specific certification is not required to deploy airbags. DOT requires certification to ship airbags,
and ARA now offers a program that certifies recycled airbags -- but we’re
not aware of any certification process for airbag deployment.
