Recycling Mercury Switches in New York

Q. I was told about a business which will not only take the mercury swithches but pay for them. If this is true could you tell me more.

A. When a recycler joins the NVMSRP program (requests and receives a bucket) they will get instructions in the bucket on the incentive fund (which I am attaching).

It is fairly simple ... when they send a bucket of automotive convenience light switches or ABS in, they get a check.  The incentive is taxable income so when the first bucket is returned, we send a W9 form out. W9 forms have to be on file before an incentive check is mailed.  Checks are mailed out at the end of the following month that a bucket is received, so payments are made at the end of May for switches returned in April.

If you need further information, please let me know.

Thanks.
